Voices For Justice.

I am so excited, because whilst fashion bloggers all around the world are gearing up and heading to New York for NYFW (to which I wish I was attending), I am indulging the humanities side of me, and attending Voices for Justice. VFJ is a rally that lasts for four days (this year it is September 15 - September 18) in which people all over Australia with a heart for justice lobby politicians in order to see that social justice needs are acknowledged and met.

This is one of my biggest passions, but, being the oh-so-creative person that I am (not), I have managed to combine my two great passions (yes, fashion and humanities) into one event - my own little NYFW in Canberra, so to speak. (But far less glamourous, I mean, it's Canberra...) Because I will be entering Parliament House and other important, "high-class" areas, Micah Challenge (the organisers of VFJ) have given some sort of "appearance guidline" which includes no sneakers nor denim in Parliament House.

So, without further ado, here are the three style-inspirations I will be taking shopping with me this week-end (and yes, my mum is paying!)

Style Icon: Alexa Chung

With my new infatuation for anything Chanel, I have re-stumbled across the fashionista genius that goes by the name Alexa Chung.

Ugh, I just really want this Chanel Purse, it is the epitome of perfect!

She's such a beauty, with timeless style. She is graceful and elegant and simply gorgeous. Gotta love Alexa Chung.

Wishlist.

So, being as hopelessly broke as I am, I can't afford anything nice (cue relentless and incessant crying). In the process of saving up, I have created an ever-growing wish list full of items of clothing/accessories that I am in love with and my closet is crying out for. Exciting!

  • Creepers. (just plain black, or with a leopard-print upper)
  • White high-top Adidas (winged or not)
  • A body suit with a puma face (or other large, wild cat)
  • Infinity scarf (wow it's sad that I can't even afford that)
  • A simple, short black skirt
  • Black high-waisted jeans
  • Nice black/dark brown leather boots
  • Over-the-knee ribbed socks
  • Normal length, lace socks
  • See through, lacy bras
I'm sure there are tonnes of other things that I would like, but that's off the top of my head in the middle of French homework, so au revoir mes cheries
bises, xx

Passion.

Over the past few days, I have seen the most intimate and exquisite portrayals of passion and love between two beings, in black and white photo-form. I thought I'd share with you some of my lovely findings, and an amazing quote which describes how (I think) these feelings would be like to experience.

"Hold my breath as you're moving in,
Taste your lips and feel your skin.
When the time comes,
Baby don't run,
Just kiss me slowly."

And now I get to leave here, and feel lonely after all these beautiful pictures. *sigh* the life of an awkward teen blogger is a hard one. XX

Obsession: Prints.

I am currently absolutely obsessed with prints. I walked into Stellino (King St, Newtown) today and could not get enough.

I adore this beautiful "Mosaic" skirt (worn by Nicole on Gary Pepper Vintage).

This is a Viva Glam Skirt from SABO SKIRT and I'm in the process of persuading my mother to buy it for me (I'm too broke to afford my own clothes at the moment)

That's all for now! Maybe one day soon I'll do an outfit post....hm...

Bye my loves XX

London Lust.

So, London being the city I am currently lusting after, I have decided that (like the lovely Gemma) I'll begin with some incredible photos of it, that I have stumbled across.

Ciao xx

Illiteracy.

So, being totally computer illiterate, I have really no idea why I'm on here. But, regardless of the aforementioned detail, I am. I have no clue as to what I'm doing - on this, and in real life, so don't go expecting big things out of me. This is going to take a while, like everything in my life so bear with me. Ciao xx
